Amazing Volunteers
SHIELD616’s mission would not be possible without dedicated volunteers like the ones below. We are honored to have more than a dozen people volunteering with us doing meaningful work on a regular basis. If you are interested in helping us out, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will keep you updated on opportunities in your area. Our volunteers help with events, presentations, behind the scenes work, and more. We are always seeking volunteers who can help us network in their local communities to help more officers and first responders get the armor they need.
Jacinda & Wes
Jacinda Van Dyk and her husband, Wes, are amazing volunteers for SHIELD616! These two have been volunteering with us since 2018, and they have traveled to multiple states to lend us a hand. We are so grateful to have them on our team, and we cannot thank them enough for everything they do.
Jacinda is an incredible volunteer who is always willing to pitch in wherever she is needed. She is a master at handling all of our merchandise and does an excellent job getting it to our customers all over the U.S. Her hard work and dedication are truly inspiring, and we are so lucky to have her on our team.
Wes is just as dedicated as Jacinda and is always there to lend a helping hand. We feel blessed to work alongside these two!
When they’re not volunteering with us, they’re taking care of their many farm animals! Cows, goats, donkeys, chickens, dogs, cats, and even a giant pig named Petunia – they truly have their hands full.
Julie
Julie is one of our incredible volunteers who has been with us for the past couple of years! Julie’s hard work and dedication to SHIELD616 has been truly invaluable. She’s helped set up numerous presentations, worked at countless events, and has even adopted multiple officers across various police departments. Julie’s positive attitude and energy never fail to uplift everyone around her, and her love for networking and meeting new first responders and community members is truly inspiring.
Her willingness to pitch in wherever needed has made our jobs easier and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our team. In her spare time, Julie loves spending time with Jeff and their 4 pups! Thanks for everything you do, Julie. Your contributions to SHIELD616 are deeply appreciated and we are so lucky to have you as part of the SHIELD616 family!
Ben and Susan
These two volunteers have hearts of gold. They have been donors and volunteers for the past 5 years. Whenever we need help with anything in the Denver area they are always willing to step up and give their time. The thoughtful feedback they have given us over the years has helped us grow and gain a better donor perspective.
They specialize in showing all the officers they have adopted over the years how much they care about them and their passion for our mission and officer safety is inspiring to our whole team.
Katherine
We are so grateful to have Katherine as part of our core group of volunteers. She is definitely the ray of sunshine we needed. She helps us with coordinating “Cop Drops” with departments all over El Paso County. Her warm smile positive vibes brighten each department that receives them. As a former dispatcher with CSPD, she knows how valuable our first responders are and helps us make sure they feel loved everywhere we go. She has also helped us with various events over the past year and periodically ropes in her husband to help us! We are so blessed to know these hard workers.
